Hi everyone,

A reminder about our Maths Night this coming Monday evening. It is shaping up to be a fun and engaging whole school event for the whole family to enjoy. Children will be¬†given a “passport” and encouraged to visit the classrooms of all year levels from 6.30 to 8.00 with their parents and siblings. Each year level will have a different theme and lots of maths fun for the whole family. Get your passport stamped and go into the draw for special prizes.

In Prep we are running with a “psychedelic” theme that incorporates shape, pattern and symmetry. You may even see your teachers dressed up in costume (if you are lucky ūüėČ).

Hope to see you there.

Parent Helpers – Community Walk & Swimming

Thank you to Ben, Cam, Sandra and Jo, who have already volunteered to come with us on the Community Walk on Thursday 2nd August. I am still looking for 2 more volunteers if possible. All volunteers need to have completed their Working with Children Check online and submitted a copy to the office.

If you haven’t done this, it is super easy – you fill it in and submit it online and drop in a copy of the receipt to Gina at the front office. When you receive the card, please have our office staff¬†photocopy it for you and they will keep it on file.

Prep Swimming Volunteers

Please add your name to the helper list posted outside the classroom if you would like to be a parent helper for Prep Swimming. This involves helping supervise on the bus and helping the children to get changed after their lesson. Please note that we are only able to bring one parent helper per class on the bus for each swimming session and you must have a current Working with Children Check lodged at the school office.

If you would like to watch the session you are welcome to meet us at the pool! The children love to have people to cheer them on.

Prep C will be leaving on the bus at 11:30 and returning to school by 1:15 pm (approximately).

The actual swimming lesson is from 12.00 ‚Äď 12:30.

If you have any questions, please give me a call.

Regards

Mrs Doye

Dear Parents,

On Thursday 2nd August, we are going on our very first excursion. We will be walking down to the Mount Martha shops and visiting various places that are important to our community.

I need parent helpers to assist me with getting the children there and back safely. We will be leaving straight after the morning bell and we will return to school at approximately 11.30am.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks in advance.

Mrs Doye.

Cross Country

Well done to everyone in Prep C for successfully completing one lap of the Mount Martha Primary School Cross Country course today. A big thank you to all the parents who came and cheered us on. I think we would all agree that it was a very exciting event.

A special shout out to Mr Sweatman who worked very hard to ensure the day was a success.

Please enjoy some photos from the day.

P-P-Pyjama Day

Tomorrow we are starting to learn about the letter P. We will all be wearing our pyjamas, eating popcorn and watching The Secret Life of Pets (which also supports our inquiry learning about pets and what they need to survive). I have no doubt we are in for a fun-filled day!

Hi kids,

Remember that Jogging Club runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning before school. Last week we had a few people running laps. Maybe we will have some more this week?! Happy jogging.
